SCARD 2024 Fall Meeting

Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the SCARD Program Committee, we are excited to present our 2024 Fall Meeting program. Some of the highlights of the meeting this year include the results of our first online AAARAD productivity and compensation survey, and presentations by the SCARD councilor to the ACR and our representative to the Academy of Radiology Research informing us of the important actions those societies have accomplished this past year.
One of the most exciting changes to our program this year are our task force presentations. Each of our three task forces will have 90 minute sessions where they will make a 30 minute presentation of their proposals to address their selected topic followed by 60 minutes of discussion. Based on the proposal and discussion, each task force will then write a white paper detailing SCARD’s position of the issue. The three issues our task force have been working on are: The national shortage of radiologists/radiology pipeline, the future use of AI in academic radiology departments, and how to define the standard workday for an academic radiologist.
